Meet Ernie!

We are excited about being a micro roastery. Whilst our main aim is to make sure we consistently produce great tasting, freshly roasted coffee our second is to do it in a way that doesn't create lots of waste - which includes not using single use plastics!

We roast all our coffee on an Aillio Bullet R1 V2, which we affectionately call Ernie! Ernie is designed to roast small batches of green coffee, no more than a kilo at a time whilst having a fantastic degree of control and precision.

This level of sophistication allows us to roast consistently time after time, whilst also being flexible enough to respond to the natural variation we see in different batches of green coffee.

Don't get us wrong.... we would love to get a bigger roaster (don't tell Ernie!) but for now this is a great setup for us and fulfilling our aims of Coffee Connection :-)
