We've bean tasting

We have had a super interesting and varied start to the year!

We have been introducing our coffee range to a number of small business' to super charge their office coffee machines, checking out a new

warehouse to take receipt and store our new batches of green coffee, building partnerships with Colombian farmers (more to come on this later in the year!) as well as lots of tasting (called cupping) different batches of coffee to make sure we keep the coffee quality high and looking for new coffee to add to our collection!

There are loads of videos explaining how to 'cup' coffee so I won't repeat it here. But, if you want to know more (or even doing your own cupping at home) check out this great video by James Hoffman's where he talks through the process and there is a follow-up video talking about the various tasting notes.

One of the biggest headaches we have to overcome as a micro roastery is how to viably access green coffee straight from origin (either direct or facilitated by an trader). The main challenge being that the minimum order is typically five sacks (that's approximately 5 x 70kg .... 350kg!!) which is A LOT of coffee for a start-up business of our size. We are making great progress in growing our business and hope to soon place our first bulk order thanks to the fantastic uptake and interest by the local community.

If you like what we are doing and know someone who might also appreciate freshly roasted coffee at home or the office let us know! Or even better pass on our details.

Thanks all

Wayne and Kelly
